- Note : If you intend to watch the movie do not read any further for the risk of spoiling the fun-
After all the publicity acts and moving around in local buses Vidya balans 'Kahaani' was out for everyone to know. To begin with, Vidya is a pregnant woman who for some freaking reason is pregnant even though she supposedly has her husband missing for 2 years! I dont know if it was some other guy, but the girl did sound convincing to this Bengali police officer who I assume sympathizes with the overgrown tummy ( I never thought she needed to be pregnant for that!) and evidently is completely unaware of the normal pregnancy period for humans. So they go around sneaking here and there trying to find this lost husband . Obviously this police officer is jobless or just like our own beloved police force is negligent of his duties. Anyway, somewhere in
between all this, this IB officer comes in who is all 'dudely' slamming everyone around in the police station and scaring Vidya as well. Vidya obviously is too persistent and the cop is supposedly in love with the thought of Vidya meeting her husband. The IB guy reveals the secret to Vidya about how he and the Bengali cop are using Vidya to catch some terrorist guy. There he says, and I quote - "Pregnant aurat pe koi shak nahi karta". If only I could just scream to his ears then- Only if she is pregnant for not more than 9 months! The 'dudely' officer is so very 'dudely' that he forgets that he should not stop suspecting a pregnant woman specially while he is already making use of his useless funda! Anyway so he supposedly sets up Vidya to catch this terrorist only to know later that Vidya kills the terrorist, and to Gods relief she is not pregnant! No, Vidya is no Ninja Woman, she smartly used the cop and IB dude to get to this terrorist guy who was responsible for her husbands death.
The movie was a good watch and I only hope you would have watched by now, or else you just lost the reason to watch it. Vidya shall avenge me now!
